Evidence on the CX Topic
On the 1st and 15th of each month Chris will post an evidence file on the Africa topic to Debate Central! Please suggest the issues you want him to cover on our bulletin board.
Advice on Debate
On the 1st of each month, Chris will answer your questions on debate. You can ask him for advice on your affirmative case, how to debate, strategies on the topic, and MORE! He can also answer questions on how to teach and coach debate. Visit our Ask the Expert page to ask Chris a question! Chris will begin answering questions on September 1st!
More about Chris
Chris is the Director of Debate at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), one of the fastest rising programs in college debate. UTD has qualified for the National Debate Tournament (NDT) four consecutive times and hosts one of the largest college tournaments in the country. He judged the Final Round of the NDT in 2006. Chris coached over a dozen teams to the NDT, including multiple First Round teams, as an assistant coach at Texas-Austin. As a college debater, he advanced to the elimination rounds of major tournaments, including the NDT. Chris pursued his graduate studies in International Politics at Texas-Austin and the Australian National University. He also coached Georgetown (TX) High School to the Tournament of Champions and elimination rounds at the UIL 5A State Tournament during the 1999-2000 season. He is an experienced instructor, previously working at the Texas-Austin, Stanford, and Michigan State camps as well as the International Debate Academy in Slovenia.
