Ok, so what if the USFG completely scrapped all social services for all people below the poverty line, but only people below the poverty line, and then raised the amount that determines poverty. Then the people that are left without any medicaid, social security, public schools will be so outraged, they'll demand comprehensive social services reform for people below the poverty line effectively solving for the topic. It's out there I admit, but I've heard of irony affs before. Is there any feasible way that this could conceivably work?
So we can't use electricity to build electricity generating equipment, what are we supposed to do, use thousands of Egyptian slaves?

It could work, but you would need evidence that says that the USFG is passively expanding all social services by eliminating them. Also, once your aff gets out there, everyone will have politics DAs that link to it (politics will decimate your solvency). My aff for this year has a similar issue with passivity (I am not going to say what it is, but it is something that few people would associate with poverty), but it does not eliminate anything, and I have cut numerous cards to back up its topicality. I think that an irony aff would be interesting, but be prepared for an extensive T debate.

I think that a better route to go would be to do nothing and, therefore, do something. That way, at least, you can link the aff to a ton of Ks (everything from Deleuze to Agamben will link into a "do nothing" aff) and avoid politics altogether.
